Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS) is celebrating its 10th anniversary of serving the animals. On March 14, 2007, WCRAS opened its doors to the lost and abandoned animals of Round Rock, Hutto, Leander, Cedar Park, and Williamson County. So WCRAS staff can celebrate the shelter’s successes, the shelter will close one hour early at 5 p.m. on March 14. The tenth anniversary traditionally is considered tin, so for ten days from March 10 to 19, WCRAS is going to “shake the can” to raise funds or cans of dog and cat food for the shelter and encourages friends and fans to do the same. Then on March 19, from 1 to 3 p.m., the shelter will host a 10th Anniversary party.
