CR 258 Extension (US 183 to Sunset Ridge Drive)

Description    The project will construct a new two-lane roadway facility from US 183 to Sunset Ridge Drive and will include a connection to Questa Trail. The Texas Department of Transportation is planning a concurrent project that will add turn lanes along US 183 onto CR 258.
Status The contractor is Joe Bland Construction. Construction began in October 2022 and is anticipated to be complete in early 2024.
ROAD DETOUR:
The intersection of CR 258 and CR 258/CR 260 will be closed to ALL through traffic beginning Monday, June 19, for approximately two months. Construction of the extension from US 183 to Sunset Ridge Drive is paved and will open to Sunset Ridge traffic ONLY on Monday, June 19. 

The contractor is preparing to reconstruct the intersection of CR 258 and Sunset Ridge Drive. This will allow crews to raise the profile of the road to provide safe sight distance for vehicles approaching the intersection. Access to Sunset Ridge Drive will be maintained throughout this work by using the newly constructed extension of CR 258 from US 183 to Sunset Ridge Drive.  

Drivers using the existing CR 258/CR 260 will be directed to use US 183, SH 29, or Ronald Reagan Boulevard.
