Construction began in June 2020 and is expected to be completed before spring 2022, weather permitting. Voter-approved funds from Williamson County’s 2019 Road Bond Program are making it possible for the improvements to become a reality. In total, the project is expected to cost approximately $4.8 million.
Construction activities will be limited to a Monday through Friday schedule, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. However, under special circumstances, the contractor may request permission from the County to perform work outside of the normal work hours in order to complete time-sensitive activities.
As part of the Forest North Drainage Improvement Project, Williamson County's contractor DeNucci Constructors will begin milling and paving work on Newberry Drive between Springvale Drive and west of Parkland Drive. Residents are asked not to park or leave their vehicles on this street between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, and Friday, August 27. Any vehicles left on the street during this time will be towed. Residents will have access to their driveways during this time; however, there may be a five to ten-minute delay when entering or exiting. Residents with any questions or concerns can call Bruce Thurin at 512-639-3059 or email [email protected]
