Call regular session to order

  1. Pledge of Allegiance

  3. Acknowledge staff and visitors; hear any comments. This will be the only opportunity for public comment. The Health District invites comments on any matter affecting the district, whether on the agenda or not. Speakers should limit their comments to two minutes. Note that members of the Board may not comment at the meeting about matters that are not on the agenda.

CONSENT AGENDA
The Consent Agenda includes items considered to be routine that the Board of Health may act on with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless requested by a Board Member, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered on the Regular Agenda. (Items 4-5)

  2. Ratification of Regional Advertising Insertion Order and Agreement – NCM and WCCHD (movie theater advertising for Medical Reserve Corps volunteers)

EXECUTIVE SESSION

  1. The Williamson County Board of Health may convene in closed Executive Session to discuss pending or contemplated litigation, settlement matters other confidential attorney-client legal matters (EXECUTIVE SESSION as per VTCA Govt. Code sec. 551.071 consultation with attorney), and any other matters permitted by the Texas Open Meetings Act to be discussed in closed Executive Session, including the following:
    1. Litigation or claims or potential litigation or claims against WCCHD or by WCCHD, including claims by former Executive Director Derrick Neal.
    2. Status Update-Pending Cases or Claims; including Cause No. 22-1710-C26, Williamson County and Cities Health District v. Derrick Neal; in the 26TH Judicial District Court, Williamson County, Texas.
    3. Employee/personnel related matters.

Notice of Meeting of the Fire Commissioners of Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 8

The Board of Fire Commissioners of Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 8 will meet on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 6:00p.m. at Fire Station #6, 6700 RM 2338, Georgetown, Texas 78633.

Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 8 Board Members: Bobby Bunte, Bennie Piper, Troy Rodriguez, Ira Wood and Lisa Birkman.

Call to Order
Board may, at any time, recess the Regular Session to convene in Executive Session at the request of the Chair, Board Member, or legal counsel for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551, and are subject to action in the Regular Session that follows.

  1. Call meeting to order
  2. Establish Quorum
  3. Public Comment
  4. Discussion and possible action to reconstitute the ESD8 Board.
  5. Consideration and possible action to approve the minutes from the Regular Session Meeting held on January 18, 2023.
  6. Presentation of the monthly Treasurer’s report and payment of bills by Ron Barrick.
  7. Discussion and possible action regarding future financial and operational plans for the district.
  8. Discussion and possible action regarding public outreach campaign.
  9. Monthly presentation, report(s) and updates by City of Georgetown Fire Chief John Sullivan.
  10. Adjourn
