County Judge Bill Gravell has lifted the burn ban for unincorporated areas of Williamson County today, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 5 p.m. Please be cautious with any outdoor burning activity.  Outdoor burning must be conducted under state regulations found in Texas Administrative Code Section 30 TAC 111.219. A free household hazardous waste event is taking place Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gupton Stadium Parking Lot in Cedar Park.

The Williamson County Parks Department is hosting a Volunteer Work Day to assist with projects along the Brushy Creek Regional Trail on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. 

The Commissioners Court recognized Williamson County Public Affairs for receiving the 2022 Golden Post Award for Best Use of Long-Form Video at the Government in Social Media Conference. Williamson County Public Affairs entered the virtual ribbon-cutting video for the Brushy Creek Regional Trail Phase 5. The video was created by Lauren Gammon and featured a parody of “Be Our Guest” written by Commissioner Terry Cook and sung by Cathie Sheridan.
