Two new Williamson County judges will take the bench in October. An investiture for Will Ward, the new judge of County Court at Law No. 5, will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. in the 277th District Courtroom at the Williamson County Justice Center, 405 MLK, in Georgetown. An investiture for Justice Scott Field, the new judge of the 480th District Court, will be held on Monday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. in the historic Williamson County Courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown.

The Williamson County Justice of the Peace #3 Office will be closed to the public Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, due to a special event.  All due dates for citations will be extended to Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 5 p.m.  We apologize for any inconvenience this causes the public.

Williamson County currently has openings for appointments to the Williamson County Historical Commission (WCHC).  The WCHC is designated to coordinate and supervise historic preservation under the direction of the Williamson County Commissioners Court. The purpose of the WCHC is to preserve, protect, and promote history within the county. For more information or to submit an application, contact the precinct commissioners’ offices or County Judge’s Office listed here.

Williamson County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is pleased to announce that it was granted re-accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS).  Williamson County EMS continues to be a part of an elite group of only 11 out of 744 Texas EMS systems and 194 out of over 21,000 EMS systems in the United States to be granted this accreditation.

The Williamson County Domestic Assault Response Team (D.A.R.T.) is partnering with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and Hope Alliance, Williamson County’s only resource center and emergency shelter for those affected by family and sexual violence, to raise awareness regarding the issue of domestic and teen dating violence in our local communities. Sept. 13, the Williamson County Commissioners Court issued a proclamation designating October as Domestic and Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month in Williamson County.
