Make a splash in May as the Quarry Splash Pad in the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park opens for the summer on May 19! Start making summer plans for the kids with tennis camp at Rippner Tennis Camps or with Summer History Explorer's Camps at both Williamson Museum locations in Round Rock and Georgetown. Remember, County offices are closed for Memorial Day, May 28. Have a safe and happy holiday!

Judge Mathews Appointed to Judicial Commission on Mental Health

Judge Stacey Mathews of the 277th District Court was appointed to serve on the newly established Judicial Commission on Mental Health. The commission, the first body jointly created by the Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, will examine best practices in the administration of civil and criminal justice for persons with mental illness.  Texas’ two high courts have appointed 31 members, including Judge Mathews, to lead the newly established Judicial Commission on Mental Health.

Your Input Needed for Central Texas Fair Housing Assessment Survey

WilCo is participating in a collaborative planning process with nine other local jurisdictions to conduct a regional housing and economic opportunity study. The study is designed to better understand residents’ housing decisions and their experiences living, working or going to school in the region. The survey is open to anyone in the Central Texas region, so please share the survey with your friends, neighbors, and coworkers by May 31, 2018. To participate in the study, click here.
