Community Health Assessment Needs You!

Our community is working together to improve health and wellness in Williamson County. Health care providers, faith-based organizations, public health, school districts, non-profit organizations, local governments and community members are working together to address health issues where we live, learn, work and play.

Today marks the kick-off of the first phase of the Community Heath Assessment (CHA), which engages community members and local public health system partners to collect and analyze health-related data from many sources. A survey is now available to collect the community’s feedback on what they believe are the most pressing health needs for Williamson County. The feedback will be used to inform decision-making, prioritize health issues, and assist in the development and implementation of Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).

Surveys in English and Spanish are available at: www.healthywilliamsoncounty.org/cha. Paper surveys are available at the following locations:
•    Allen R. Baca Center - 301 W Bagdad Ave # 2, Round Rock, TX
•    Liberty Hill Community Resource Center - 155 Hillcrest Lane, Liberty Hill, TX
•    Cedar Park Public Health Center - 350 Discovery Blvd. # 102, Cedar Park, TX
•    Georgetown Public Health Center - 100 W. 3rd St., Georgetown, TX
•    Round Rock Public Health Center - 355 Texas Avenue, Round Rock, TX
•    Taylor Public Health Center - 115 W. 6th Street, Taylor, TX

Community involvement and engagement is critical throughout the entire CHA/CHIP process.  Williamson County community-based organizations may request a presentation on CHA/CHIP progress at www.healthywilliamsoncounty.org/cha. If you are interested in getting involved in community health initiatives, please join the WilCo Wellness Alliance Coalition at www.healthywilliamsoncounty.org/joinus.
