Williamson County Holds Virtual Public Meeting on Proposed Adoption of OSSF Rules

Williamson County is proposing the adoption of rules for on-site sewage facilities (OSSF) in Williamson County, Texas. A virtual meeting will be held to present the proposed rules and receive input from the public. The virtual public meeting will be available at www.wilco.org/ossf on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, starting at 5 p.m. through Wednesday, December 23, at 5 p.m. For the virtual public meeting, project staff will give a presentation which will be pre-recorded and will include both audio and visual components. The public is invited to make comments on the proposed rules. All comments must be received on or before Wednesday, December 23, 2020.

WilCo and TDEM Offer COVID-19 Testing at Expo Center

Williamson County Office of Emergency Management in partnership with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) will be hosting free COVID-19 testing in December. Testing will be held December 14, 15, 16, and 17. Testing will be conducted at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail, Taylor, Texas, 76574. It will begin at 9 a.m., and it will close by 2 p.m. or until supplies last.

“The increasing transmission rate and movement into the WCCHD red phase is a great opportunity to remind people during this Thanksgiving season to wear a mask, wash hands frequently, and keep six feet of distance from others not in your household. While the number of cases has increased, other indicators, such as the hospitalization rate for our region, are below Governor Abbott’s threshold for adopting more stringent guidelines under Executive Order GA-32. Personal protective measures are the best way to keep ourselves and those we care about safe," said County Judge Bill Gravell.
