Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell issued a proclamation declaring a state of disaster for Williamson County on Sunday, February 21, 2021, due to the significant winter weather conditions it experienced and occurrence and ongoing imminent threat of widespread and severe damage, injury and/or loss of life or property. The County Judge and Office of Emergency Management have determined that extraordinary measures must be taken to protect the health, safety and welfare of the County's residents. The state of disaster shall continue for not more than seven days unless continued or renewed by the Commissioners Court. A copy of the proclamation can be found here. 

Governor Greg Abbott announced a statewide effort to collect damage assessment data for this unprecedented winter storm event. This information is being collected to help officials across the state gain an understanding of damages for individuals throughout Texas.

Williamson County's Berry Springs Park and Preserve and Southwest Williamson County Regional Park will be closed for the weekend, February 20 and 21, 2021.
