Williamson County Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning Extended

The Williamson County Commissioners Court has extended an Order Declaring a Local State of Disaster for Williamson County. The Order prohibits outdoor burning in all of the unincorporated areas of Williamson County and smoking in and/or on Williamson County parks, preserves and trails due to dry vegetation, wind and imminent threat of severe damage. The order is in effect until it is canceled by the Commissioners Court or a burn ban order is issued. A burn ban order is on the agenda for Tuesday, April 5.

One way the community can help is to hold off taking regular yard debris and trash to the Williamson County landfill and give residents with debris from the tornado priority on Saturday.
