Williamson County Burn Ban Lifted Feb. 6

County Judge Dan A. Gattis has lifted the burn ban for unincorporated areas of Williamson County today, Tuesday, February 6, 2018.  
Please be cautious with any outdoor burning activity.  Outdoor burning must be conducted under state regulations found in Texas Administrative Code Section 30 TAC 111.219.
Prior to conducting control burns, please take the following steps:
1.    Please contact your local fire department – Some fire departments may require a Burn Permit.
2.    Please contact Williamson County Communications – Please call and report your control burn to Williamson County Communications at (512) 864-8282.  Williamson County Communications should be able to inform you of any burning restrictions that Williamson County Communications has been made aware of and that may exist.

Plenty to do in WilCo this month exploring Round Rock's creepy past with paranormal investigation equipment, creating vintage valentines with the Williamson Museum, cooking up some chili for the cook-off, or gaining expertise at our Safe Baby Academy. But save some time to head out to the EXPO for their Repticon Reptile and Exotic Animal Show or the City-wide Garage Sale. Enjoy it all--it's "All About WilCo!"

Brushy Creek Regional Trail Offers Amenities and Opportunities for Expansion

As we begin the new year after holidays marked by indulging our pallets, many of us rush to the gym to get back in shape. In Williamson County, we have other opportunities that can help us shed pounds, reduce stress and enjoy the outdoors.

You don’t have to go far from your doorstep to find an array of federal, county, city and Municipal Utility District parks, trails and open spaces. Through collaboration and cooperative partnerships, Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is working on long-range plans to connect trails and provide enough open space and facilities to meet the ongoing population growth and demand for these amenities.

Commissioner Cook Visits Highland Horizon HOA in Brushy Creek MUD

On Monday, Jan. 29, Commissioner Cook spoke at the Highland Horizon Annual HOA meeting on topics ranging from road issues to flooding.
