Two new Williamson County judges will take the bench in October. An investiture for Will Ward, the new judge of County Court at Law No. 5, will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. in the 277^th District Courtroom at the Williamson County Justice Center, 405 MLK, in Georgetown. An investiture for Justice Scott Field, the new judge of the 480^th District Court, will be held on Monday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. in the historic Williamson County Courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown.

The Williamson County Justice of the Peace #3 Office will be closed to the public Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, due to a special event.  All due dates for citations will be extended to Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 5 p.m.  We apologize for any inconvenience this causes the public. 

Monday, Oct. 3, and Tuesday, Oct. 4 are Ozone Action Day! Sensitive groups, such as the elderly, children or people with asthma, should limit time outdoors. Please limit your driving to before 8 a.m., especially avoiding use of vehicles between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. as ozone is created most during these hours, and after 5 p.m., if possible. Also, fuel up your cars and trucks early in the morning or at night.
