Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2022, in observance of the July 4^th Independence Day holiday.  In addition, the Commissioners Court will not meet on Tuesday, July 5, and will resume their regular schedule on Tuesday, July 12, at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom on the second floor of the historic courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown. The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS), 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, will be open from noon to 4:00 p.m. and will have a $4 adoption special for adult dogs and cats from July 2 to July 4.

This Friday, June 24, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will stay open late for an extra two hours to host its second Cat’s Pajamas Adoption Event. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 24th, the shelter will offer free adoptions for all cats and kittens.

The Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector will close the Taylor Tax Office location, 512 Vance Street, starting Friday, June 24, through Monday, July 4. The temporary closure will allow the Taylor staff to assist in staffing the three other Williamson County Tax Office facilities.  

The Williamson County Public Affairs office took home two statewide awards for communication from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) annual conference in Houston this month.
