TCEQ Rock Crushing Permit

The Precinct Two Commissioner's Office has been contacted by constituents that are concerned with an application to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regarding Permit 169044L001 which would allow a rock crushing operation on County Road 285 near Liberty Hill.  Constituents calling our office have voiced concerns that this facility would create traffic safety problems on the county road; impact water, which is provided to families through wells; and negatively impact air quality.  Air quality is the only parameter by law that TCEQ is allowed to review.  My office has called TCEQ, and a public hearing date has not been set yet, but one has been requested.  All who have submitted comments will be added to the mailing list and will receive information on the time, date and location of the public hearing.  TCEQ expects to have a location that is in close proximity to the site to help facilitate the attendance of those that would like to participate. Click read more for details on how to participate.
