Call regular session to order

  1. Pledge of Allegiance
  2.  Roll Call
  3. Acknowledge staff and visitors; hear any comments. This will be the only opportunity for public comment. The Health District invites comments on any matter affecting the district, whether on the agenda or not. Speakers should limit their comments to two minutes. Note that members of the Board may not comment at the meeting about matters that are not on the agenda.

REGULAR AGENDA

  1. Approval of minutes, Regular Meeting, 11/10/21
  2. Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on 2022 Regular Meeting Times
  3. Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on the appointment of Member City Representatives for 2022-2024 – Cedar Park, Leander/Liberty Hill and Round Rock
  4. Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on allowing the Evaluation Subcommittee to edit and resubmit the Request for Proposal – Evaluation of WCCHD Services

EXECUTIVE SESSION

  1. The Williamson County Board of Health may convene in closed Executive Session to discuss pending or contemplated litigation, settlement matters other confidential attorney-client legal matters (EXECUTIVE SESSION as per VTCA Govt. Code sec. 551.071 consultation with attorney), and any other matters permitted by the Texas Open Meetings Act to be discussed in closed Executive Session, including the following:
    1. a. Litigation or claims or potential litigation or claims against WCCHD or by WCCHD
    2. b. Status Update-Pending Cases or Claims
    3. c. Employee/personnel related matters
    4. d. Other confidential attorney-client matters, including contract and certain matters related to WCCHD defense issues in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body within the attorney/client relationship clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
    5. e. Consultation with attorneys regarding EEOC Charge of Discrimination 451-2021-02587: Derrick Neal v. Williamson County and Cities Health District and investigation of claims and conduct of former Executive Director Derrick Neal.

Notice of Meeting of the Fire Commissioners of Williamson County Emergency Services District #8

The Board of Fire Commissioners of Williamson County Emergency Services District #8 will meet on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 6:00p.m. at Fire Station #6, 6700 RM 2337, Georgetown, Texas 78633.
Williamson County Emergency Services District #8 Board Members: Bobby Bunte, Bennie Piper, Troy Rodriguez, Ira Wood and Lisa Birkman.
Call to Order
Board may, at any time, recess the Regular Session to convene in Executive Session at the request of the Chair, Board Member, or legal counsel for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551, and are subject to action in the Regular Session that follows.

  1. Public Comment
  2. Consideration and possible action to approve the minutes from the Regular Session Meeting held on October 20, 2021.
  3. Presentation of the monthly Treasurer’s report and payment of bills by Ron Barrick.
  4. Consideration and possible action to amend the by-laws to allow for a 90 day contingency reserve and other changes as needed.
  5. Discussion and possible action on the issue of the adoption of a Sales and Use Tax by the District to maintain and enhance the services provided by the District and address future revenue shortfalls.
  6. Monthly presentation, report(s) and updates by City of Georgetown Fire Chief John Sullivan.
  7. Adjourn
