Williamson County Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles was joined by Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell and others to celebrate the completion of improvements to the Williamson County Expo Center.

Williamson County Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles was joined by Coupland Mayor Jack Piper and others for a ribbon cutting ceremony on improvements to S. Broad Street from Elliot Street to Muery Street and Muery Street from CR 277 to S. Broad Street in Coupland. 

At their meeting on Aug. 2, the Commissioners Court accepted the recommended FY 23 budgets from the Budget Office totaling $481,973,437 for the General Fund, Road & Bridge fund and Debt Service fund. The Commissioners Court can make revisions prior to adoption on Aug. 30. View the budget presentation here. The Commissioners Court also approved a proposed total maximum tax rate for tax year 2022 at $0.375608, which is a reduction of more than 6 cents from the current tax rate. Under the proposed maximum tax rate, the average homestead would be paying approximately $100 less in county taxes than they did last year. This Friday, July 29, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS) will stay open for an extra two hours to host its second Cat’s Pajamas Adoption Event. 

Due to recent positive COVID-19 test results among staff and exposure to clerks, the lobby of Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 in Round Rock will be closed to the public through Tuesday, August 2, to protect the health and safety of the remaining staff and community. We will monitor for any developments over the weekend and will update the public if this temporary closure needs to be extended.
