Round Rock Cares has been activated in an effort to raise funds for those impacted by the Monday, March 21, tornado in Round Rock. For more information about Round Rock Cares, visit rrcommunityfoundation.org.

The Williamson County Farm Bureau has created the Williamson County Rural Relief Fund (WCRRF) to assist rural residents who were impacted by the March 21 tornadoes. For more information on how to make a donation, click here. For an application, click here

Samaritan’s Purse is organizing volunteers to assist homeowners with debris cleanup and chainsaw work. To volunteer, please contact them at 512-417-8429 at least 24 hours in advance to be scheduled to serve. Their host location is First Baptist Church Round Rock. Anyone with any damage to their property, no matter the amount, should report it to the Texas Division of Emergency Management. This will help determine if the state meets federal requirements for various forms of disaster assistance. To fill out the survey, visit  iSTAT Damage Surveys (texas.gov) and select "March Severe Weather."

In an area declared a disaster area by the Governor, Tax Code Section 11.35 allows a qualified property that is at least 15 percent damaged by a disaster to receive a temporary exemption of a portion of the appraised value of the property. A property owner must apply for the temporary exemption and the deadline for application is 105 days after the governor declares a disaster area.
