Portions of the Jim Rodgers Trail in the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, 3005 C.R. 175, will be closed weekdays from now through February due to a Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project. The project is designed to reduce wildfire hazards along the boundaries of the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park that are adjacent to residential development. Portions of the trail will be temporarily closed for visitor safety while the work is being conducted.

The work would reduce the quantity of hazardous vegetation fuel along the park perimeter to help limit the movement of wildfire across the park boundary. Work will occur between September 1, 2016, and February 28, 2017, and only Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
