Larry Madsen was sworn in by Congressman John R. Carter as the Williamson County Precinct 4 Commissioner. Madsen is a lifelong resident of Williamson County. He recently retired from the City of Round Rock where he served as construction project manager for 23 years. During that time, he was manager for development and construction of projects that included Old Settlers Park, Dell Diamond, the Clay Madsen Recreation Center, the McConico Building, the Baca Senior Center, the Round Rock Sports Complex, the Rabb House, and numerous fire and police stations. He also served for two years on the Williamson County and Cities Health District Board.

“Being a lifelong resident of Williamson County and living on the east side, I am looking forward to this opportunity to give back to my community,” stated Madsen. “With my business and agriculture background, I will be able to serve the diverse community of Precinct 4. Ron Morrison was a lifelong friend, and I look forward to finishing the good work that he started.”

Madsen is serving Commissioner Morrison’s unexpired term which ends December 31, 2018. The appointment to fill the vacancy continues until the next succeeding general election and until a successor has been elected and has qualified for the office.
