Dear Residents of the San Gabriel River Ranch Subdivision,
The Williamson County Road and Bridge Division, and Precinct Two
Commissioner Cynthia Long, would like to update you on the progress of
the San Gabriel Ranch Road project. Since our April 29, 2016 update:
- A geotechnical investigation has been performed which evaluated
subsurface soil conditions. This information will aid in the design of
the repairs.
- On June 15, 2016 a survey of the roadway and river just upstream of the roadway was completed.
- Survey and geotechnical data will be used for hydraulic and
stability analyses of the dam to aid in the development of the design
alternatives.
- Consulting engineering firm Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is in
the process of developing proposed alternatives to repair the roadway.
Public input on proposed alternatives will be requested from the San
Gabriel River Ranch Subdivision in late July or early August 2016.
- Repairs are expected to begin in late winter 2016 or early spring 2017.
