The Williamson County DWI/Drug Court was presented the 2018 “Spotlight on Success Award for Outstanding DWI Court Team” during the DWI Court Team Advanced Conference, recently held in Austin. The award honored the DWI/Drug Court Team led by the Honorable Laura Barker, presiding judge of Williamson County Court at Law #2.

Williamson County EMS is offering an American Heart Association BLS Provider class on Saturday, February 10, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The BLS Provider class is primarily directed to those currently working in or those that wish to work in the healthcare profession.

The official groundbreaking of the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS) expansion project took place under sunny skies Wednesday, January 24. The event not only celebrated the start of construction on a new 16,970 square-foot, two-story addition and renovations to the current facility, but also the 10-year partnership between Williamson County and the cities of Round Rock, Cedar Park, Hutto, and Leander to operate the regional shelter.
