The Williamson County Commissioners Court extended the local disaster declaration through March 9. View the declaration. Governor Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration which includes Williamson County. View the state declaration. A disaster declaration could allow for people with property damage to get some financial assistance, such as low interest loans, if they are uninsured or underinsured. In order to be eligible, the county must meet a minimum threshold for damage, and the state must have a disaster declaration and must meet a minimum threshold for damage.

Property owners are asked to report any winter storm damage here iSTAT Damage Surveys (texas.gov)

Report power outages to your power provider. See list of contacts here: Storm Safety Resource Page (texas.gov)

Williamson County is clearing downed trees and limbs in county roads and right of ways. Trees and limbs on personal property are the responsibility of homeowners. Please check your city's website for pickup options if you are within city limits.

Homeowners in the area can also take brush to the Williamson County Landfill, 600 Landfill Road in Hutto, Texas. Waste Management is charging just $10 plus tax per pickup truckload of limbs and clean brush now through Feb. 19. In addition, Williamson County is waiving its 6.5% fee for these pickup truckloads. This payment scale is for non-commercial vehicles and excludes trailers. The normal charge for clean brush/wood is $8.64 per cubic yard. Trash/debris is $46.90 per ton. For directions and hours of operation, visit Contact Us | Waste Management | Waste Management (wm.com)

If you live in the unincorporated area of the county, and it is not against your deed restrictions, you may burn brush as there is not a burn ban. Please check with your Emergency Service District (ESD) to see if you need a permit. A list of ESD phone numbers is available here. Please call and report your control burn to Williamson County Communications at (512) 864-8282.  Williamson County Communications should be able to inform you of any burning restrictions that Williamson County Communications has been made aware of and that may exist.

Austin Disaster Relief Network is offering assistance to area residents who need help cleaning up debris from the winter storm due to physical or financial limitations. Go to their website for more information. Winter Storm 2023 – Austin Disaster Relief Network (adrn.org)
