Household Hazardous Waste Cleanup Event to be Held Sept. 25

In partnership with Waste Management, Inc., Williamson County will host a household hazardous waste cleanup event on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will be held at the Hutto High School Football Stadium, located at 573 Chris Kelley Blvd., Hutto, Texas 78634. This event is open to Williamson County residents only. Residents should bring proof of Williamson County residency (driver’s license or billing statement).

Accepted Items:
Acids
Aluminum
Antifreeze
Batteries
Brake and transmission fluid
Cleaning products
Lawn and garden chemicals
Lighter fluid
Paints, solvents and varnish
Pesticides and herbicides

Prohibited Items:
Agricultural chemicals
Ammunition
Asbestos-containing materials
Compressed gases
Containers larger than 5 gallons
Dioxins
Explosives and fireworks
Industrial, commercial or business waste
Medical and pharmaceutical items
Propane cylinders
Radioactive materials
Tires
Televisions and computer monitors

Event Guidelines:
Stay in your vehicle with the windows up
Please let volunteers unload your car
Go through the line only once
No smoking
No walk-ups
Remember, long wait times are possible
Bring products in original containers 
Limit 5 containers per car
Separate and group items before drop-off
Properly seal containers to prevent leaking
Do not mix or consolidate products
Trailers longer than 16 feet will not be allowed
No contractor or business waste will be accepted
Haul containers in the back of vehicle away from passengers
Bins and baskets used to transport items will not be returned to residents
