Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter Hosts Its 2nd Annual Name a Kit10 Fundraiser
Kitten season is in full swing, and the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS) needs your help finding them their fur-ever home. Beginning today, June 28, and running through July 2, 2021, WCRAS is hosting their 2nd Annual Name A Kit10 Fundraiser.

The Kit10 Fundraiser allows interested participants the opportunity to save feline lives by allowing them to name a kitten or cat by donating $10.00 or more – and participants can donate and name as many felines as they wish.

According to April Peiffer, WCRAS community programs coordinator, this annual fundraiser saves the lives of hundreds of cats annually, and WCRAS has taken in over 600 cats and kittens in May and June alone in 2021.

“Now is the perfect time to let your creativity shine while helping a great cause,” said Peiffer. “The names you provide will be added to the kitten-naming registry with your donation. Participants can then watch wilcopets.org to see an adoptable kitten with the name of their choosing.”

In addition to monetary donations, Peiffer said they are also accepting items to help the most vulnerable, and that a listing of the items needed most is included on the fundraising page. All funds raised will be used for all our kittens’ needs.

Moreover, Peiffer said for those who would rather bring a kitten home, now is the perfect time to adopt a feline (or two), as WCRAS will waive the adoption fees when individuals adopt two or more cats or kittens during this event.

Those interested in donating or naming a kitten can learn more by contacting WCRAS at 512-943-3817, or by visiting the ‘Name a Kit10’ website at: https://NameAKit102021.givesmart.com.
