Deadline for 2017 Property Tax Payment Approaching

Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector Larry Gaddes reminds property owners that 2017 property taxes must be paid in full by January 31st to avoid accruing penalties and interest.
The most common payment options include:

  • Online at www.wilco.org/propertytax using Credit/Debit card (2.19% vendor fee applies) or E-Check ($1.00 vender fee applies)
  • Mailed to 904 S. Main St., Georgetown, TX 78626 · In person at any location – make a same day appointment at www.wilco.org/propertytax
  • Drop box at the Georgetown office only - located to the right of the front door

For a full list of payment choices go to our web page and click on PAYMENT OPTIONS.
Taxpayers are strongly encouraged to avoid the rush and pay before Jan 31st.  However, if they wait till the last day, taxpayers are urged to either pay online through the tax office website, pay in person at the nearest tax office, or request a postmark from a post office clerk for payments sent by mail.  Placing payments in a USPS drop box does not guarantee a same day postmark and using a bank’s online bill pay could delay payment, both of which could result in additional penalties and interest.
For answers to frequently asked questions about property taxes, visit the County Tax Assessor/Collector’s website, email proptax@wilco.org or call 512-943-1603. Tax Assessor/Collector offices are open 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
