Status

Design was completed by Binkley & Barfield. An open house was held on Thursday June 30, 2016. A summary of the open house can be found under Project Documents. Construction has been funded by TxDOT. The contractor is Dan Williams Company. Construction began summer 2019 and is anticipated to be completed in fall 2020.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be permanently closing the existing southbound I-35 entrance ramp just south of Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Jarrell on Thursday, January 23 at 9 a.m., so that crews can complete work on a new entrance ramp. During this time, those wishing to enter southbound I-35 will continue along the southbound frontage road to the next entrance ramp, located just south of FM 972.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the new Ronald Reagan Boulevard entrance ramp is scheduled to open in approximately one to two months, weather permitting (see map).

Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the upcoming closures. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.

These closures are part of the Mobility35 program which will bring mobility, safety, and connectivity for all modes of transportation. To learn more about this project and the Mobility35 program, visit my35Construction.org
