The Precinct One Justice of the Peace Office will be closed to the public and working remotely on Aug. 31 from 8 a.m. to noon, due to legislative update training for staff. For individuals with eviction hearings, these meetings will continue as scheduled and will be conducted virtually. Commissioners Court Sets Proposed Road District Tax Rates

On Tuesday, August 31, the Williamson County Commissioners Court will meet to discuss and consider taking a record vote on setting tax rates for tax year 2021 for Avery Ranch Road District No. 1, Pearson Place Road District, Northwoods Road District No. 1, and Somerset Hills Road District No. 4.

Williamson County to Host Free Car Window VIN Etching Event Aug. 21

The Williamson County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office, in partnership with the Sheriff’s Combined Auto Theft Task Force, Liberty Hill Police Department and Liberty Hill ISD Police will be hosting a free car window vehicle identification number (VIN) etching event at Liberty Hill Middle School this Saturday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Williamson County Recognizes Employees of the Year

Williamson County recognized three Employees of the Year for their leadership during the past year which included a pandemic response and a week-long ice storm. The employees were introduced at the beginning of the Round Rock Express game Thursday, August 5, and were recognized at the Commissioners Court meeting on August 17, where they received an engraved plaque and a check for $500. The award recipients were selected by a committee from 35 nominations in three categories. 

New Sod Installed at Historic County Courthouse

The grass is going to be greener on the Williamson County courthouse lawn as Williamson County Facilities replaces the sod this week. This installation will impact parking at the courthouse as some spaces will be temporarily closed. Additionally, a temporary fence will be installed around the newly-sodded areas to prevent damage while the grass is being established.
