The public is invited to attend the first meeting of the Williamson County Citizens Bond Committee on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Williamson County Georgetown Annex located at 100 Wilco Way, Georgetown, Texas starting at 5 p.m.  The meeting will be in the large training room on the second floor. See the agenda.

The purpose of the Williamson County Citizens Bond Committee is to review and analyze the infrastructure needs of Williamson County to determine if the county should consider a bond election in November 2023. If the committee decides that bonds are needed to fund projects, then the committee is to propose projects to the Williamson County Commissioners Court for potential funding in November 2023 bond referendums.

The bond advisory committee was created with the County Judge selecting the committee chair and each commissioner naming two people to serve on the committee. County Judge Bill Gravell selected former Precinct 3 Commissioner David Hays to chair the committee. David Hays also served as chair for the bond committee in 2019. The other committee members are:

Precinct 1: Meg Walsh and Larry Madsen
Precinct 2: Joe Bob Ellison and Bill Chapman
Precinct 3: Steve Fought and Mike Russell
Precinct 4: Michele Sherwood and Bryon Brochers

The meeting will be recorded and posted to the county’s website so the meeting is available for future viewing
