The San Gabriel Wildfire is now 100% contained. A total of 445 acres have been burned. The Texas A&M Forest Service says the decrease in acres burned is due to better GPS mapping since Saturday when crews originally said 500 acres had burned. No homes were burned and there were no injuries. 

A large number of resources have been devoted to helping fight this fire including state resources such as firefighting teams, air tankers, helicopters, planes, Starflight and local fire departments led by Liberty Hill Fire Department. A burn ban is currently in effect in Williamson County. The burn ban restricts outdoor burning and includes safety requirements for welding, cutting, or grinding operations. The Liberty Hill Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
