Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, January 18, in observance of the Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Day holiday. While County offices are closed, it is highly recommended that residents consider utilizing the online services that are being offered in various departments. The next Commissioners Court meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19, at 9:30 a.m. in the courtroom on the second floor of the historic courthouse, located at 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown.  

 The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, located at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, will be open on MLK Jr. Day from noon to 6 p.m. The shelter will kick-off an adoption special Friday, January 15, that will run through Monday, January 18. During those dates, large adult dogs and adult cats can be adopted for $3.  All adoptable pets are listed online at http://pets.wilco.org/. Interested adopters should send an email to adoption@wilco.org to set up an appointment. The shelter is operating on an appointment-only basis.
