Williamson County Emergency Medical Services in conjunction with Austin/Travis County EMS will be conducting a car safety seat event for area residents on Saturday, April 15, from 2 to 5 p.m.  The safety seat check, hosted by the Hutto Fire Department, will take place at the Hutto Fire Station at 501 Hutto Exchange, Hutto, TX 78634.  Please call 512-943-1264 to schedule an appointment.  The last appointment begins at 4:30 p.m. 

Children will need to be with a parent or other adult caregiver during the inspection.  Items should be cleared from the vehicle in order to allow technicians access to the child safety seats.  If a car seat is found to be outdated or not meeting child safety seat standards, it may need to be replaced.  Funding for the April 15 Save a Life™ event is provided in part by the Texas Department of Transportation.
