Williamson County and its cities have been busy not only helping with sheltering in Central Texas, but also jumping to the need of fellow Texans along the coast. Below is a breakdown of ways Williamson County and its cities are joining together to assisting those affected by Hurricane Harvey, as well as ways that the public is encouraged to help. Williamson County remains in a Flash Flood Watch until Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service predicts the rain will continue for at least the next 24 hours. Residents are asked to remain weather aware. Check for closed roads at www.atxfloods.com in the Central Texas area and check road conditions across Texas at www.drivetexas.org. Never drive through water flowing over a roadway. Turn around, don't drown.
