The Williamson County Commissioners Court adopted their General Fund budget for FY 2017-2018 of $191,598,091, a 6.5 percent increase over last year’s adopted budget of $179,871,807. The Commissioners Court also set the tax rate for 2017. The Commissioners Court reduced the General Fund tax rate by one cent to $.259029 per $100 valuation.

County Judge Dan A. Gattis has lifted the burn ban for unincorporated areas of Williamson County today, Monday, August 28, 2017.

Williamson County remains in a Flash Flood Watch until Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service predicts the rain will continue for at least the next 24 hours. Residents are asked to remain weather aware. Check for closed roads at www.atxfloods.com in the Central Texas area and check road conditions across Texas at www.drivetexas.org. Never drive through water flowing over a roadway. Turn around, don't drown.
