Jury Duty

We are excited about our new online eResponse system, which will help make it more convenient for you to respond to your jury summons.

The online eResponse system will allow you to confirm your jury service, submit an exemption or disqualification and in some cases defer your jury service.

Due to the Global Pandemic jurors will receive a COVID questionnaire that will need to be completed prior to your jury service. If you have answered yes to one or more of the COVID questions, please contact the Williamson County District Clerks Office 512-943-1212 for further instruction.

You will need your jury summons to proceed, click the eResponse link below to begin.

Reporting for Jury Duty is a responsibility of all citizens in these United States. The United States Constitution and the Texas Constitution guarantee all people the right to a trial by an impartial jury. Justice ultimately depends to a large measure upon the quality of the jurors who serve in the courts.

If you have been selected to serve on a jury, the following information may be of assistance.

Jury Duty Phone Scam

In the past there have been reports of phone calls being made by scammers to residents in several counties throughout the state of Texas that appear to be from county officials. The scammers tell people that they have missed jury duty and are threatening residents with arrest and fines for failing to appear.

The scammers tell the victim that a family member, whom they name, had failed to appear for jury duty and that they would be arrested if the victim did not immediately pay a fine for failure to appear for court and an additional fine for the charge of contempt of court.

The scammer then instructs the victim to purchase a money pack, after which the scammer would call back to get the control number which would allow the scammer to cash out the money pack.

Please be advised that the Williamson County Courts, District Clerk's Office, or Jury Administrator will NEVER call you, text you or email you and ask for social security numbers, credit cards or other sensitive information. We will NEVER demand payment over the phone of a fine for failure to appear, including the placing of any amount of money on a green dot card to pay any fine.

If you have doubts about a caller, please contact the District Clerk's Office at (512) 943-1212.
