Forest North Drainage Improvements Phase III
Location Forest North Neighborhood
The purpose of the Forest North Drainage Improvement Project is to respond to drainage infrastructure issues resulting from frequently reoccurring local flooding and in response to concerns raised by the residents of Williamson County.

In response to issues brought forward by the neighborhood, the County included the design for this project in its 2013 Road Bond Program. Funding for construction of Forest North Phase III was secured as a result of the voter-approved 2019 Road Bond Program.

Construction of drainage improvements is scheduled to be completed within identified zones, which cluster around frequently reoccurring structural flooding in the area. There are a total of seven zones in Phase III.

Work began on the Forest North Drainage Improvement Project in 2016 and construction on Phase I and II has been completed. For additional information regarding the phasing of improvements, please refer to the Project Zones Map below.

Construction began in June 2020 and is expected to be completed before spring 2022, weather permitting. Voter-approved funds from Williamson County’s 2019 Road Bond Program are making it possible for the improvements to become a reality. In total, the project is expected to cost approximately $4.8 million.

Construction activities will be limited to a Monday through Friday schedule, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. However, under special circumstances, the contractor may request permission from the County to perform work outside of the normal work hours in order to complete time-sensitive activities.

As part of the Forest North Drainage Improvement Project, Williamson County's contractor DeNucci Constructors will begin milling and paving work on Newberry Drive between Springvale Drive and west of Parkland Drive. Residents are asked not to park or leave their vehicles on this street between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, and Friday, August 27. Any vehicles left on the street during this time will be towed. Residents will have access to their driveways during this time; however, there may be a five to ten-minute delay when entering or exiting. Residents with any questions or concerns can call Bruce Thurin at 512-639-3059 or email [email protected]
