Williamson County Sheriff’s Office 2021 Junior Deputy Academy


This summer the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a four-day academy that will give young citizens residing in Williamson County the opportunity to see what it is like to be a county deputy and to learn other unique aspects of Williamson County.


During the academy, junior cadets can expect to participate in activities such as interacting with a K9 and its handler, lifting fingerprints, taking a tour of the jail and the old county courthouse as well as hands-on experience with tactical equipment and so much more.


Junior Deputy Academy Requirements:
- Ages of 9 to 14 years old
- Williamson County Resident or Williamson County Employee
- Parent or Guardian must Sign-Up and Register their own child(ren).
SIGN-UP and Registration
When: Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 starting at 10:00am – 2:00pm
Where: Williamson County Sheriff’s Office (Patrol Conference room) located at 508 S. Rock St. Georgetown, TX. 78626


*The Sheriff’s Office is operating at 100% with face masks “optional”, however Social Distancing will be practiced when “practical” with class sizes limited to 20 per session.


- We will be accepting a “Waitlist” of 10 children per session should recommended Social Distancing practices be removed prior to the start of the Academy, however it will be at the Sheriff’s Office discretion to add the waitlist child(ren) to the academy or not.
Your child(ren) will be accepted on a “First Come, First Serve” basis, so your child(ren) may be turned away.


Session 1 (age 9-11) – Tues., June 1st – Fri., June 4th, 2021
Session 2 (age 12-14) – Mon., June 7th – Thurs., June 10th, 2021
Session 3 (age 9-11) – Tues., July 6th – Fri., July 9th, 2021
Session 4 (age 12-14) – Mon., July 12th – Thurs., July 15th, 2021

*Please choose one session for your child(ren) to attend prior to arrival.
*Registration & Release of Liability forms must be completed prior to and turned in at Sign-Up!
