Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, February 15, in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday. While County offices are closed, it is highly recommended that residents consider utilizing the online services that are being offered in various departments. Following the Presidents’ Day holiday, the next Commissioners Court meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, at 9:30 a.m. in the courtroom on the second floor of the historic courthouse, located at 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown. 

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, located at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, will be open on Presidents’ Day from noon to 6 p.m. The shelter will have a Valentine’s Day weekend adoption special from Saturday, February 13, through Monday, February 15. During those dates, large adult dogs and adult cats can be adopted for $4.  All adoptable pets are listed online at http://pets.wilco.org/. Interested adopters should send an email to adoption@wilco.org to set up an appointment. The shelter is operating on an appointment-only basis.
