A Mental Health Expo will be held for Williamson County residents May 9. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Williamson County Justice of the Peace Pct. 2 Judge Angela Williams will host an event from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cedar Park Recreation Center, located at 1435 Main Street in Cedar Park.

A delegation of elected officials, city representatives and economic development executives from Williamson County flew to South Korea last week. As Williamson County is becoming a global destination for corporate relocations, the goal of the trip was to encourage economic development in the county and to meet with key executives at Samsung and other companies that are interested in doing business in Williamson County.

Williamson County EMS Mixes New Technology with Old Fashioned Service

The CHP team is comprised of three paramedics. In 2022, they received a total of 281 patient referrals, an increase of 21.7% over the previous year. Patients are selected to enroll in the program through referrals. Referrals come from hospitals, first responder agencies, partner organizations such as Bluebonnet Trails Community Services and the Williamson County and Cities Health District, or by being identified as high utilizers of EMS. A high utilizer is someone who has three or more calls to EMS for service in the previous 90 days. Referrals from the public are not eligible.
