Community Development Block Grant Issues Call for Projects

Williamson County’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program will be allocating $1,467,836 in funds next fiscal year. The fiscal year runs from October 2019 to September 2020. Cities, non-profits and other entities can apply for that funding now through May 22, 2019 at 5 p.m. Funds are intended to primarily benefit low- to moderate-income persons in Williamson County. Funds will be made available to approved projects on or around October 1, 2019.

Projects will be selected using the following 2019-2013 priorities:
•    Public Facility and Infrastructure Improvements
•    Increase Access to Affordable Housing
•    Decrease Homelessness
•    Public Services
•    Affirmatively further Fair Housing

Projects should be located in the unincorporated area of the County and the incorporated cities that have joined the urban County designation. These cities include Cedar Park, Coupland, Georgetown, Granger, Hutto, Jarrell, Leander, Liberty Hill, Taylor, and Weir. Specific instructions on how to submit projects for funding can be found at www.wilco.org/CDBG.
