"Leave No Trace for Williamson County Preserves" Training Offered Aug. 23

The Williamson County Conservation Foundation is offering a “Leave No Trace for Williamson County Preserves” training for people who want to access County preserve areas.  The class will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, 3005 CR 175, Leander, at the Boulder Pavilion near the Quarry Splash Pad. The class is free to attend, but space is limited and advance registration is required at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/leave-no-trace-williamson-county-conservation-foundation-registration-369217979917 . Participants must first complete an online awareness activity prior to participating in the in-person class.

Williamson County is hosting its Annual Learn to Fish Day in the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, located at 3005 CR 175, Leander, Texas on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 8 a.m. to noon. Children of all ages will be able to spend time learning various fishing tips and techniques from local experts. The Learn to Fish Day event is free and open to the public.
