Summer is a time for love, and what better way to celebrate than bringing home a new cat or dog? Luckily, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS) is here to help. Beginning Friday, June 25, WCRAS is hosting the second-annual “Weekend Whirl,” which allows prospective pet owners the opportunity to bring pets home for the weekend with the goal of permanent adoption. The Weekend Whirl serves as an extension of the WCRAS Foster Program, a lifesaving initiative with the focus of saving the lives of the young, elderly, injured, and long-stay dogs and cats of the shelter by finding them temporary placement in loving homes.
