Williamson County No Longer a High Hospitalization Area

Williamson County, which falls under Trauma Service Area (TSA) Region O, received notification on January 30, 2021, from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) that it no longer meets the definition of a high hospitalization area. This allows certain businesses to operate at the higher capacity levels allowable under Governor Abbott’s Executive Order GA-32 effective immediately. In addition, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission approved County Judge Bill Gravell's request to allow bars to reopen at 50 percent capacity for indoor seating.
