Ribbon Cutting Held for Improvements to SH 29 and CR 200/Loop 332

On Wednesday, August 7, Williamson County, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and City of Liberty Hill held a ribbon cutting for safety and mobility improvements to the intersection of SH 29 and CR 200/ Loop 332. The county-led project included adding dedicated right turns on all sides, left turn and through lanes on CR 200 at SH 29, as well as Loop 332. Drainage improvements at the intersection and a new traffic signal were also included.

“I am delighted to have cut the ribbon on the CR 200 at SH 29 project. This intersection is so much faster and safer now,” said Commissioner Cynthia Long. “Thanks to TxDOT and the Liberty Hill Economic Development Corporation for helping make it happen.”

O’Brien Engineering Services was the design engineer and Cox Commercial Construction was the contractor. The project was completed in ten months and was funded with county voter approved road bonds of $1.1 million, $500,000 contributed by TxDOT and $100,000 from the Liberty Hill Economic Development Corporation.
