Williamson County offices will remain closed through Friday, February 19, due to continuous severe winter weather in the area. Essential personnel will still report for duty. The Williamson County COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center will remain closed. Berry Springs Park & Preserve and Southwest Williamson County Regional Park also are closed today.

The Williamson County Landfill will be closed on Friday, February 19. The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will remain closed on Friday, February 19.

Williamson County wants to keep you informed on the latest updates on how the winter weather is affecting the county. Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell issued a proclamation declaring a state of disaster for Williamson County on February 14, 2021, due to severe winter weather conditions. The state of disaster shall continue for not more than seven days unless continued or renewed by the Commissioners Court. Williamson County has activated its Emergency Operations Center and will remain active until the winter weather is no longer a threat. Williamson County asks that residents stay home and limit travel as much as possible as all roads have the potential to have dangerous ice formations. Starting December 26, Williamson County residents can dispose of their Christmas trees for free by dropping them off at the Williamson County Landfill, located at 600 Landfill Road in Hutto. The landfill is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon. The landfill is closed on Sundays and will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
