Williamson County Dell Diamond Vaccine Site to Increase Vaccine Appointments

Williamson County’s vaccine provider Curative has opened up a vaccination site at Dell Diamond with the capacity to give 5,000 vaccine doses each day. With the increase in available appointments, residents who fall under the Texas Department of State Health Services’ (DSHS) priority phases 1a, 1b or 1c are encouraged to register on the County’s centralized waitlist with the possibility to receive a vaccine appointment this week. Wilco Forward Small Business Grant Program Phase 2

Williamson County is launching Phase 2 of its Wilco Forward Small Business Grant Program for businesses financially impacted due the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting Wednesday, March 17, small businesses such as food services, bars and hotels/motels can begin to apply for a small business grant to help keep them afloat during these trying times. Household Hazardous Waste Cleanup Event April 24 in Leander

Williamson County, Waste Management and the City of Leander are hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Cleanup Event on Saturday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Leander Public Works, 607 Municipal Drive. The event is open only to residents of Williamson County. Click here to read what you can and cannot bring. When you arrive, remember to stay in your vehicle with the windows up and let volunteers unload your car. You can only go through the line once. No contractor or business waste will be accepted. Dell Diamond to Serve as COVID-19 Vaccination Site

The Round Rock Express, in partnership with Williamson County and COVID-19 testing and public health services startup Curative, are excited to announce that Dell Diamond will become a COVID-19 vaccination site beginning on Friday, March 12, with over 2,000 vaccines per day available to approved residents by appointment. Appointments are required to receive the vaccine and are only available to residents on the registered waitlist through Williamson County. Those currently qualified to be on the waitlist are front-line healthcare workers, residents at long-term care facilities, educators, residents age 65 and older and residents age 16 and older with other health-related issues that could exacerbate the effects of COVID-19. Those who qualify can register for the waitlist by visiting this page. An email will be sent with information regarding scheduling an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Williamson County Purchasing Department is the recipient of the 25th Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award for 2020 from the National Procurement Institute, Inc. (NPI). This is the 25th year for this program that recognizes procurement organizations that embrace innovation, professionalism, productivity, leadership and e-Procurement.
