Williamson County and Bluebonnet Trails Address Rising Mental Health Needs in the County

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll not only on people’s physical health, but their mental health as well. In order to better address mental health care needs in the community, the Williamson County Commissioners Court partnered with Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS), the local mental health authority in Williamson County, on several projects that were funded through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act or American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). One of those projects, the law enforcement Diversion Center, is ready to open its doors this week.

The offices of the Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace and Constable will be closed on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a special function.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) declares Sunday, April 3, is an Ozone Action Day for the Austin metropolitan area, meaning the air quality is unhealthy for sensitive groups. Please limit your driving to before 8 a.m. especially avoiding use of vehicles between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and after 5 p.m. Also, fuel up your cars and trucks early in the morning or at night. Don't idle your vehicle. Carpool or take public transportation.
