For property tax purposes, Texas law requires that a motor vehicle dealer’s inventory is appraised based on the total sales of motor vehicles in the prior year. Dealers must file with the county appraisal district a Dealer’s Motor Vehicle Inventory Declaration form listing the total value of the inventory sold in the prior year.
To set up a new Dealer VIT account in Williamson County, please contact Louann with the Williamson Central Appraisal District at 512-931-7890 or via email louannp@wcad.org.
Dealer's must also file monthly with the county tax office a Dealer’s Motor Vehicle Inventory Tax Statement listing the motor vehicles sold and prepay their property taxes for each vehicle. Please remember that all VIT information sent to Jonathan must also be sent to Louann at Williamson Central Appraisal District, louannp@wcad.org.

Motor Vehicle Automatic Bank Draft Authorization Form and return it to our office. The automatic payment option is also available for dealer transactions processed through the Georgetown dealer office.
