Tree of Angels Ceremony Dec. 6

The Williamson County community is invited to join the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office for the lighting of the 9th Annual Tree of Angels to honor victims of violent crime. The ceremony takes place on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at 6 p.m. in the historic Williamson county courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Texas, in the 26th District Courtroom. This moving ceremony allows the community to remember families whose lives have forever been touched by violent crime. Families, survivors of a violent crime, families with missing loved one and friends of a victim are invited to bring an angel ornament to place on this special tree.

Williamson County Commissioners Court Approves Redistricting Map

The Williamson County Commissioners Court approved a new redistricting map for Justices of the Peace, Constables and Commissioners precincts. Counties are required to review the new census data to ensure the population is evenly distributed every ten years. The Williamson County Commissioners Court also approved changes to boundary lines of county election or voter precincts. Changes will take effect for elections on Jan. 1, 2022. Williamson County’s contractor Denucci Constructors is beginning work on the Great Oaks Drive Bridge project. For safety, the Brushy Creek Regional Trail near the project area will be closed starting as early as Sunday, Nov. 14, for approximately nine months. To view the closure map, click here.
