The full text, with Spanish translations, of the eight proposed constitutional amendments for the November 2, 2021 Constitutional Amendment Special Election can be found here. Article XVII, Section 1, Texas Constitution requires each county to post the full text of the proposed amendments in a public place in the courthouse at least 30 days prior to the November 2, 2021 Constitutional Amendment Special Election. You may post the full text of the proposed amendments any time after you receive this, but no later than October 3, 2021. Pursuant to Section 31.044(g) of the Texas Election Code, the County Clerk is the proper officer to receive and post copies of the proposed constitutional amendments. Since this is a constitutional requirement, this responsibility is not shifted to the Elections Administrator in counties that have an Election Administrator nor is the deadline extended.
