Williamson County's Vaccination Plan
 

Williamson County with its partners Family Hospital Systems and Curative are operating COVID-19 vaccination sites in Williamson County! The County's COVID-19 vaccination plan is focused on providing vaccines for the State's priority of Phase 1a: frontline healthcare workers and residents of long-term care facilities and Phase 1b: those 65 and older and those 16 and older with at least one chronic medical condition, as well as school and child care personnel. Effective March 15, the County will be vaccinating people in Phase 1c: people 50 to 64 years.

Williamson County has set up a call center to serve as a resource for residents interested in COVID-19 vaccine information. The call center number is 512-943-1600 and is answered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you need to reschedule your appointment with FHS, email [email protected] The call center cannot reschedule appointments. 

Family Hospital Systems will continue vaccinations of individuals in the priority groups by appointment only at the Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex, 10211 Parmer Lane, and Curative will vaccinate by appointment at the Georgetown ISD Athletic Complex, enter off of Stadium Dr., and Dell Diamond. 

People must first pre-register on the County's centralized waitlist in order to receive an appointment. 

Once you are contacted that it is your turn to receive the vaccine, Williamson County can offer technical assistance with completing your registration paperwork at a Vaccine Registration Technical Assistance site. No appointment is necessary. Effective April 6, all VRTA centers are open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • First Baptist Taylor, 2500 Mallard Lane, Taylor, Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • The Oaks in Sun City, 301 Del Webb Blvd., Georgetown, Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • St. Richard's Episcopal Church, 1420 E Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock, Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • First United Methodist Church Georgetown (McKinney Christian Ministry Center), 1205 Ash St., Georgetown, Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Northpoint Church, 1320 Arrow Point Dr, Unit 201, Cedar Park, Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We encourage all residents in the current priority phases to use any option to obtain your first dose of vaccine from any approved entity offering it.

Public COVID-19 Testing Update

Williamson County through a partnership with Family Emergency Rooms is providing testing for COVID-19. For more information on a PCR (nasal swab test) and the Antibody Test, or to schedule a test appointment, please go to the following link: FHS Booking. The new scheduling process will allow you to select the time and testing location that best fits your needs, with no need to wait for a call back from a scheduler.

Testing is available for all. COVID-19 tests are currently covered by most insurance companies. Tests for Williamson County residents without insurance will be paid for by Williamson County.

The risk of infection with COVID-19 is higher for people who are close contacts of someone known to have COVID-19, for example healthcare workers, or household members. Williamson County Reduces Threshold to Apply for Small Business Grant Program

In Williamson County, 105 businesses have received an average of $6,559 each through Phase 2 of the County’s Wilco Forward Small Business Grant program financed with CARES Act funds. The program offers financial assistance to food services such as restaurants, food trucks and caterers, bars, and hotels/motels that were financially impacted due to closures and occupancy restrictions due to COVID-19. In order to increase eligibility in the program, today the Commissioners Court approved lowering the financial qualifications so that more businesses will be eligible. In Wilco Forward Phase 2, a business can receive up to $500 per employee with a maximum amount of $10,000 if eligible. Visit the Wilco Forward Phase 2 signup page for more information and to apply. Beginning Monday, March 29, 2021

All adults in Texas who want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine will be eligible to be vaccinated starting Monday, March 29. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Expert Vaccine Allocation Panel recommended expanding the vaccination process to include any adult who wishes to get vaccinated and falls under the current Food and Drug Administration emergency use authorizations. Williamson County Dell Diamond Vaccine Site to Increase Vaccine Appointments

Williamson County’s vaccine provider Curative has opened up a vaccination site at Dell Diamond with the capacity to give 5,000 vaccine doses each day. With the increase in available appointments, residents who fall under the Texas Department of State Health Services’ (DSHS) priority phases 1a, 1b or 1c are encouraged to register on the County’s centralized waitlist with the possibility to receive a vaccine appointment this week. Wilco Forward Small Business Grant Program Phase 2

Williamson County is launching Phase 2 of its Wilco Forward Small Business Grant Program for businesses financially impacted due the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting Wednesday, March 17, small businesses such as food services, bars and hotels/motels can begin to apply for a small business grant to help keep them afloat during these trying times.
